St Fergus Village Hall was the venue for a very successful Soup and Sweet recently.
The event, which proved extremely popular with villagers, raised more than £2,000 which will go towards essential hall repairs.
Members of the St Fergus Community Association were absolutely delighted with the event which was supported by all ages of the community. Helpers ranged from young children to Grannies, with donations of raffles from many local businesses and individuals – the committee has expressed huge thanks to them all.
Gratitude must also go to those who kindly donated home bakes and soup and sweets as without all this help events like this would not be possible.
A total of around £250,000 is required for the hall refurbishment project however committee members are hopingthat with the help of grants and local support, the hall can return to a popular local venue once more.
