The second Sandy Thain Memorial Road Run will be held on Sunday, October 4.

The run will begin at the British Legion Clubrooms in Strichen at 10.30am and a mixture of tractors and Classic Cars will follow a route up the White Cow Woods road, through Maud, Knaven and New Deer for a lunch stop at Cuminestown.

They will then travel through Garmond, Balthangie and Bonnykelly to New Pitsligo and then back to Strichen.

Entries are still welcome, email sandysroadrun@gmail.com.

This year all proceeds are going to the Sandpiper Trust who are raising funds to provide defibrillators for rural North East Scotland .

Last year’s road run raised over £ 4,500 for Amyloidosis Research and the organisers are very grateful for the support from those who helped on the day, with marshalling, tea making , donating food, raffles and sponsorship.
