The RNLI Peterhead crew were requested to launch yesterday afternoon to respond to mayday call from a motor cruiser off Rattray Head.
The Misses Robertson of Kintail set-off with its colunteer crew at 2:14pm on Saturday, October 31, to escort the four-manned, 33 feet Mickey Vee back to the Peterhead marina.
The Mickey Vee’s crew had encountered poor conditions and a heavy swell.
The lifeboat stood down and returned to its berth at 2:55pm.
