Police Scotland is renewing an appeal for information following fires in Peterhead on Sunday 15 June.
The incident is believed to have happened between 3am and 4am and as a result, the Peterhead Bowling Club on Victoria Road was destroyed and damage was caused to the buildings of Chandlers International Ltd and Ken Cassells Ltd on Wilson Street.
Police would like to speak to two men who were seen in the area at the time. They are described as being aged between 16 and 25 years old, of slim build and between 5’8’’ and 6’0’’ tall.
The taller man was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a light motif or writing on the upper left shoulder and had dark hair. The second male was wearing a lighter coloured hooded jacket.
Detective Sergeant Martin Macdougall said: “I am appealing to the community to help us with our enquiries and for anyone who may have information to come forward. I am urging anyone who may have been in Peterhead on the Saturday night and may have witnessed suspicious activity to come forward. The town would have been particularly busy that night due to the England v Italy World Cup match.
“The fires have caused significant upset and inconvenience to both the local community and business premises in the town.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
