Plans for a major residential development in the heart of Peterhead are set to go on display to the public next week.
Agricultural land at Wester Clerkhill has been earmarked for the creation of more than 500 homes, in accordance with Aberdeenshire Council’s emerging Local Development Plan.
The proposals will go on show at a special exhibition at the town’s Palace Hotel on Prince Street, on Wednesday, February 22, giving the public an opportunity to view the Masterplan and have any queries they may have answered.
The Aberdeen office of property consultants Knight Frank and architects Baxter Design have produced the plans on behalf of landowner Susan Baxter.
Malcolm Campbell, associate planner for Knight Frank, told the Buchanie: “The Masterplan for land at Wester Clerkhill represents the first stage in a significant expansion of Peterhead.
“The exhibition will give the public the opportunity to view the plans, ask any questions they may have and give their views.”
The exhibition will run from 2pm to 7pm and all members of the public and other interested parties are invited to go along and have their say on the proposals.
Representatives of the landowner will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions.
Meanwhile, anyone who would like to obtain further information on the forthcoming exhibition can contact Malcolm Campbell on (01224) 644272.
