Buchanhaven Heritage Society is preparing for its next general exhibition on May 25 between 12 noon and 4pm where draft plans for the centre will be on display for community views and comments.

In addition the architect will be on hand to answer any technical questions that may arise.

To enhance the display, furnishings will be available to view and purchase from Vintage Shabby Chic to give an insight how the centre may look.

Sweets and preserves from the popular Betty Bells team will be available and to allow you to enjoy the event at your leisure a mini Vintage Tea will be served.

There will also be a general exhibition for visitors to enjoy, with new items on display from the former Playhouse Cinema and a new addition to the event will be Lyn Elrick of Picky Pencils who will do caricatures while you wait. This is the first time that Lyn will be supporting the centre and early indications are she will be a popular part of the event.

Society vice-chair, Elizabeth Milne, said “We are really excited that the draft plans and 3D images will be on display for visitors to view and comment on.

“The proposed design is very much in keeping with what the community asked for in 2012 and to mix this with a general exhibition, mini vintage tea and Lyn makes for a great afternoon out.

“We really hope there will be a large crowd attends as the need for community feedback is important to the whole process .”
