The A950 South Road in Peterhead has reopened following a road traffic collision earlier today (Saturday).

The road had been closed from Kirk Street roundabout to Links Terrace following a two car accident.

The incident took place at around 2.30pm. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The two vehicle collision involved a silver Renault Clio and a Silver Honda Civic."

A woman was airlifted to hospital, where the spokeswoman said she was in a "critical condition". A male, who was also taken to hospital, has been described as having "minor injuries".
