The Peterhead Prowl committee have donated £2,000 to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.
The Peterhead Prowl is in its second year and includes a 5K and 10K walk around the outskirts of Peterhead, starting at the Lido.
The event raised money for CHSS and Breakthrough Breast Cancer through various activities including a pre prowl metafit session to warm everyone up plus a raffle.
Nicola Drummond nominated CHSS as one of the chosen charities for this year’s prowl as a cause very close to her heart, having a personal connection to the service through a family member using the valued stroke nurses team in the local North East community.
CHSS Fundraising Officer North East Katie Jones said: “We are so grateful for the support of the committee in organising this fantastic event and raising a substantial amount.
“The money raised will help our vital services ensure that people who are affected by debilitating chest, heart and stroke illness get the opportunity to have an improved quality of life and rehabilitation.”
CHSS are also delighted to be the nominated charity for this year’s Peterhead Braveheart Running Event on Sunday, November 29.
