Local dog re-homing charity, DAWGS, is appealing for help to find a new home for two delightful little chums.

Due to a change in family circumstances, Keira, a 6-year-old Shih Tzu and Candy, a 5-year-old Lhasa Apso, had been taken into emergency care but the charity is keen to find a forever new home for them as soon as possible.

DAWGS Acting Chair, Mary Diack, explained: "They are absolutely lovely dogs, friendly and easy going, who through no fault of their own have found themselves homeless.

"They have lots of love to give and would make ideal companions.

"As they have always been together we really want them to stay together.

"We are looking for an adult only home with a secure garden where someone is around all day."

She continued: "At DAWGS we carefully match new dogs to owners, do home checks and follow up checks to make sure all is well."
