Officers in Peterhead were out at the weekend on dedicated patrols targeting anti-social and violent behaviour within the town centre.
The Buchan Community Policing Team also incorporated the Mintlaw Gala Marquee Dance into their operation - assisted by a local Special Constable - which was attended by around 460 people.
PC Steven Young of the Buchan Community Policing Team, who led the operation, said everyone attending was in “good spirits”, while there were no reports of violence in Peterhead town centre.
He said: “This operation was set up to deter anti-social and violent behaviour within the Buchan area over a weekend, continuing in our efforts to keep the area a safe place to socialise.
“We deployed various patrols in the town centre and had dedicated Officers policing the Mintlaw Gala Marquee. During the operation a number of minor offences were identified and dealt with.
“I am grateful to those members of the public who were out over the weekend as they were in good spirits and the vast majority were well behaved.”
