New kit for Buchan girls

Buchan Girls Under 13s proudly showed off their new colours at their home pitch in Fetterangus.

The striking new purple and black strip with centre badge, has been generously donated by Weatherford, an oil services company through its employee Gavin Summers whose daughter Stephanie plays for the girls.

The girls are entering the second half of their season after the summer break, and are hoping to finish in the top four of a very competitive league. Already having a number of notable wins prior to the holiday break, the girls are looking to get revenge for the games they narrowly lost.

The girls are part of the Buchan Girls and Ladies Football Organisation, which fields U 13, 15, 17 and ladies teams.

The organisation recruits girls from all over the region to play in the Northern Girls Football league.

So if any girls out there want to join Buchan Girls check out the web site, or come along to training on Wednesday night at 7pm in Fetterangus.
