The Met Office have issued an Amber Warning of Rain for Grampian.
The warning is set to last until midnight tonight (Thursday), however the Met Office expect the heavy and prolonged rain to continue into early Friday.
Following the announcement, Traffic Scotland has issued its own Amber warning and is asking drivers to take extra care while travelling today.
In the warning Traffic Scotland said: “Given the earlier exceptionally wet weather, with high river levels and saturated ground, please be prepared for further surface water and river flooding, as well as disruption to transport.”
Meanwhile in Peterhead the high winds have returned and our video shows the force of the stormy sea as it hits the Blue Toon’s shores.
Thanks to local photographers Andrew Simpson, Charlie Bruce and Peter Lewis for braving the weather and getting some fantastic shots.
