LITTLE Leah Ligertwood officially opened the refurbished Peterhead McDonalds on Saturday.
The restaurant fully re-opened to customers at 11am on Friday - three days ahead of schedule.
Leah and mum Nicola Lowrie were guests of honour to celebrate the £350,000 refurbishment of the popular outlet.
Local franchisee Geoff Cooper told the Buchanie: “The design is unique to McDonalds in the North East of Scotland and provides a more relaxed and casual environment.
“I would like to thank everyone for bearing with us during the last three weeks of the refurbishment. Customers have been very tolerant as we worked our hardest to maintain high levels of serviuce during the challenge.
“The whole staff have worked very hard in less than ideal conditions.”
The design incorporates 17 more seats than previous and features an atractive mix of browns, creams and reds.
The majority of seats are padded and the restaurant has eight feature seats by the front door.
It has been designed to be more energy efficient with low energy light bulbs, waterless urinals and also movement sensitive lighting in the toilets.
