Thrive Youth Ministries will host a special youth event this weekend at Apex Church on Peterhead’s Chapel Street.
‘Limitless’, to be held on Saturday, May 25, at 7.30pm, will feature worship from the Thrive Band and an message from guest speaker for the evening, Pastor Andrew Cherrie of Hillsong Church, London.
All youngsters are invited to go along to enjoy a great night of music and inspirational word.
Hillsong Church meets in the centre of London with a congregation of more than 10,000 people.
Prior to joining Hillsong three years ago, Andrew started out in ministry as a Youth Pastor in 1997 in his local church in the North East of England.
Andrew is passionate about developing leaders and seeing people find their place in the local church.
He is a fantastic communicator who has been inspiring young people for more than 15 years.
Andrew’s ten years in youth ministry at Xcel Church , Newton Aycliffe, provided a great foundation and valuable experience as he hasworked in local high schools, organised mission trips across Europe and spoken into the lives of young people at weekly youth gatherings.
He is married to Louise and they have a young family so life is never dull, however, he still finds time to play and watch the beautiful game of football.
Apex Church youth and community Pastor, Daniel Sutherland, told the Buchannie: “I’m really excited about Limitless and the impact it will have on the young people of Peterhead.
“It is sure to be a great night, and we’re looking forward to it.
“Andrew Cherrie is a good friend of Apex Church, and will no doubt inspire young people to fulfil their potential.
“This will be a night not to be missed and everyone is welcome to join us.”
Meanwhile, on the morning of the event there will be a special men’s breakfast at Symposium Coffee House at the Lido, Peterhead. The event will begin at 9.30am and will feature an inspirational talk from Andrew and a roundtable discussion with local church leaders.
If you would like to attend either of these events, then get in touch.
