The Peterhead lifeboat was called out at the weekend to assist with the rescue of a dog that had fallen from cliffs near Slains Castle.

The lifeboat was requested to launch by the UK Coastguard on Saturday (April 14) at around 5pm.

As the coastguard cliff rescue team had recovered the dog safely, the lifeboat was stood down at approximately 5.53pm.
