The Peterhead lifeboat was called out to provide safety cover for the rescue of a dog from cliffs near Slains Castle on Sunday, March 26.

The UK Coastguard requested the lifeboat to launch at around 2pm, however it was stood down just 40 minutes later as the coastguard cliff rescue team had safely recovered the dog.

The lifeboat returned to its berth at 3.20pm.
