Lifeboat called out to north east beach

The Peterhead lifeboat was launched at the weekend following reports of an injured kite surfer at Cruden Bay beach.

The UK Coastguard requested the launch of the lifeboat on Saturday, April 13 at around 11.40am.

However the kite surfer was recovered by ambulance personnel and the lifeboat was stood down while on its way to the scene at 11.51am.
