former nursery nurse manager Jennifer Morgan has taken over the reins at Peterhead’s Apex Centre’s popular Mother & Toddler group.
Jennifer, who previously worked at Bright Beginnings Nursery in the town, took over the role from Janice Thomas and Annette Buchan, who have been in charge of the group for the past five years.
She is now looking forward to working with the mums and toddlers and welcoming new faces to the group, which meets at the centre on Mondays from 1pm to 2.30pm.
Jennifer, who is also PA to Apex Church pastor Neil Cameron and youth pastor Daniel Sutherland, has an SVQ Level 4 qualification in children’s care, learning and development, and hopes to utilise her many years in childcare within the group.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to know the mums and children and hopefully expanding the group to welcome some new faces.
“I took over a couple of weeks ago and I’ve really enjoyed it so far. I’ll be introducing a few new things over the coming year ensuring that Apex Mother & Toddlers continues to be a fun, safe environment for mums and their young ones,” she added.
The group caters for children from birth to four years and mums can enjoy a chat and a cuppa and fine piece while their children play with a host of toys and crafts, stories and songs and get stuck into nutritious snacks.
