It was a long day for some round about Buchan

It was business as usual for many folk on Saturday, June 21 - the longest day of the year.

The Buchanie reporting team was out in force across the area finding out what folk were up to on the summer solstice.

The sun did shine, although there were a few rain showers early on, but it certainly didn’t deter folk from heading out and about.

At Aden Park in Mintlaw, the Aden Allotments had an open day, with guest of honour Jim McColl from the Beechgrove Garden.

The popular allotments were featured on the BBC programme earlier this year, and have gone from strength to strength since their inception.

Back in the Blue Toon, members of Peterhead Sailing Club took to the water in a training run in preparation for their regatta on Monday.

The town centre itself was pretty quiet when we headed out and about with our video camera, but one or two folk were willing to stop and chat and tell us what they were up to on the Longest Day.

Among them was Robert Ledingham who was gearing up for a fun afternoon at the Apex Church picnic in Old Deer.

However, for Eilidh Reid, Nasar Rashid and Paul Haggath it was just another working day.

For the Buchanie team too it was a busy Saturday and we hope you like our video compliation from out and about.

If you have any videos or photos taken on the Longest Day, then why not send them in and let folk see what you were up to!
