The Pop-Up Shop in Fraserburgh’s High Street presented Home-Start NEA with the perfect opportunity to promote its work and boost funds last month.

Despite the challenging weather, the enterprise was a great success with a steady stream of customers buying their share of the ‘new to you’ clothes, toys, books, DVDs and the many other items that were for sale.

Net proceeds from the Pop-Up Shop, including the sale of snowflake badges, raffle, whisky squares and lantern squares, amounted to more than £400.

A spokesperson said: “This will help greatly towards new projects being planned to increase the variety of support being offered to families with children of five years and under.”

The Pop-Up Shop volunteers were most grateful to Joseph, Jossdl and friends for assisting with drawing the raffle and can reveal that I. Stewart from Fraserburgh was the lucky winner of the £100 first prize.

The £50 second prize went to J. Rubite and £25 went to F. Todd.

Some 21 other prizewinners were also announced. Winner of the whisky squares was S. Gibson from Mintlaw, who correctly guessed ‘Glenfiddich’.

Home-Start NEA would like to thank everyone who supported the Pop-Up shop and contributed to its’ success – Mrs. M. Partridge for the extended use of the shopand all who generously donated items for sale and raffle prizes, especially Mr and Mrs Puttick for the first prize and the Masonic Lodge, Fraserburgh for the second prize.
