Willowbank Centre which brought you the very successful ‘The Sound of Morven Crescent’ and the award winning ‘The Hoose’, now proudly present ‘Blue Toon Brithers – Sooth Bay Sisters’.

Peterhead finally has it’s brand new prison, but in another prison in deepest Scotland, Blue Toon Brither, B’wood finds out his old musical home, the Morven Crescent School of Music & Dance, is closing down because someone keeps stealing the takings from the safe.

Determined to save the school, B’wood escapes and returns to Peterheid but his hopes of holding a fund-raising concert are dashed when he discovers the other Blue Toon Brithers have moved away and the owner’s new pupils are all musically challenged!

To make matters worse their only hope, the famous dance duo The Sooth Bay Sisters, have been kidnapped by evil Miss Alexandra Parade and are being held prisoner in Sooth Bay Mansions (aka old Peterheid Prison) where she is running a ‘Ladette To Lady School’.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the ‘special person’ brought in to catch the thief is more interested in love than money and the rent is due!

Will B’wood be able to save the school before he is caught? Will he find any talent in Peterheid?

Will the ‘special person’ stop chatting up the talent in Peterheid?

Will Alexandra Parade get her evil way? Enjoy the fun and frolicks that are about to unfold in “Blue Toon Brithers – Sooth Bay Sisters”.

Morag Skene, writer, producer and directo, told the Buchanie: “We only have a Friday afternoon to rehearse and it can take as long as two years to devise each show but, our 14 Show Group cast members work extremely hard to produce highly quality entertainment which includes song, dance, comedy, drama and always a few surprises.

“The success of our shows, however, depends a huge amount on the skill of our backstage crew and technicians and I’m delighted to say that we have the best of support in these areas.”

Willowbank Centre manager, Una Simpson, added: “Following on from the success of our previous shows, we are anticipating a huge demand for seats for all three evenings so we’re advising people to buy their tickets as soon as possible.”

Blue Toon Brithers-Sooth Bay Sisters is suitable for the whole family and will be performed at the Peterhead Community Centre Theatre at 7.30pm on Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th September.

Tickets priced £5 (no concessions), are now available in person from the Peterhead Community Centre reception or by writing (including a stamped addressed envelope) to Willowbank Centre, Glendaveny, Peterhead, AB42 3DY, stating the number of tickets required, for which evening and including a cheque for the total amount made out to the Willowbank Amenities Fund.
