HAppy Plant staff wish to thank customers for their generosity and support for this year’s “giving tree”.
Sheena Ritchie (manager) and Debbie Davy (trainee manager) of the Happy Plant Garden Centre wish to extend their thanks to the customers this Christmas who have supported their annual giving tree at the centre this year.
The tree, which has been ‘planted’ at Mintlaw’s Happy Plant for several weeks, was covered in tags allowing visitors in the store to donate a parcel which will be distributed to children throughout the central Buchan area.
Debbie expressed the staff’s delight at all the parcels which was donated, saying: “The customers have been very kind this year and provided parcels and money donations to go towards the appeal.
“We have had so much support and would really like to thank the customers who took the time to donate something to the worthy cause.”
Shona Evans of Strichen’s scoial work department said: “This is the fourth year we have run the initiative and we have been bowled over by the support and generosity of the community in the past and present years.
“Some children are not as fortunate as others and these parcels will help to take the stress off the parents who cannot provide Christmas presents this year.”
