Strichen and Tyrie Church of Scotland Guild recently celebrated its 80th anniversary.
Guild President, Mrs Helen Milne, honoured six ladies and commended each for dedicated service and in particular Mrs Isobel Kelman, who had retired after 25 years as Project Convener and co-ordinated for 23 years an annual collection for Royal Blind School, Edinburgh.
This collection was originally set up in 1959 and is now in its 55th year.
Isobel also collected used postage stamps, trimmed and dispatched, to create funds for Church of Scotland, World Mission projects.
Isobel was warmly thanked for her valued service.
