Money raised through a fundraising walk has been donated to the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).
Peterhead couple Roberta and Jim Tozer took part in a sponsored 200 mile coast-to-coast Wainwright walk from St Bees Head in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire last year and raised £6,000 in memory of their daughter Angela.
The couple wish to thank all who sponsored them and the following organisations for their generous donations: St Andrew’s Congregation and Friendship Group, Living Waters Church, Buchanhaven Harbour Committee, Peterhead Rotary Club, and the staff of Morrisons Peterhead.
Roberta and Jim presented their donation to Stephen Hart from CHAS on Tuesday, March 10.
Stephen said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed at the total raised and we are very appreciative of the efforts by Mr and Mrs Tozer and their family.
“The money they raised will go towards providing care and end of life care for children in the North East of Scotland.”
Roberta and Jim are aiming to raise a total of £10,000 for the charity as the need to maintain the service is still ongoing and any further donations which would help them achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
