Buchan children will once again enjoy a fun-filled summer thanks to a popular kids club.
St Andrew’s, the Old Parish and Trinity churches in Peterhead and St Fergus Church, along with the Salvation Army will be holding a free holiday club for all primary school aged children once again this year.
The summer club will begin on Monday, July 7 and will run to Friday, July 11 from 9.30am to 12 noon each day, providing a host of fun for all those going along.
Organisers will be utilising both the Salvation Army hall on Windmill Street and St Andrews Church, Queen Street, Peterhead for the week-long club.
Registration will take place in the Salvation Army hall.
As well as the club throughout the week, all the children and their families are being invited to a family picnic at Aden Country Park on Saturday, July 12, from 2pm to 4pm.
This will be followed by an invitation to attend a special prizegiving, which will be held in St. Andrew’s Church on Sunday, July 13, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
The club this year has the title ‘Fit for a King’ which has a Commonwealth Games theme.
The aim is to create a fun programme where children will feel welcomed and valued.
The club will feature a host of popular games, stories, singing, movie clips, craft and much more.
Organisers are also planning (weather permitting) to have a morning of free football coaching and sport activities as the guests of Peterhead Football Club.
The holiday club is free to those going along and it is hoped that as many children as possible will attend and join in what is hoped will be a fun-filled week.
To join the club please bring your child or children to register at the SalvationArmy on Monday, July 7, at 9.30am.
Meanwhile, if you would ike more information on the club please phone Kath Cameron on 01779 476553.
