Peterhead Fire Station is looking for new recruits to join its team.
The station is urging applicants to come forward and sign up before the current phase of retained duty service (RDS) recruitment comes to an end on 1 June.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is encouraging men and women to apply and not only help protect the communities in which they live, but to be part of a team which could one day write their own piece of history and be proud of that success.
Ellon, Fraserburgh and Inverurie are also looking for new members of their team and SFRS is encouraging people to sign up and ‘live a life less ordinary’.
RDS firefighters come from diverse backgrounds and bring a variety of experiences to the role. A range of skills are required including being a team player, having excellent communication skills and displaying attention to detail.
You must be aged 18 years or over, have a good level of physical fitness, have the required standard of vision and colour perception and live or work within five to eight minutes of the fire station.
RDS firefighters are paid an annual retainer fee plus additional payments for every incident attended and time spent on all activity including training nights, community engagement and courses.
