The Buchanhaven Heritage Society were delighted with the large turnout for their latest general exhibition, which this time also supported the “Go Purple for Clan” appeal.
The event was also used to gauge public opinion about their work as they near an important milestone in relation to the asset transfer of the former school.
Society members were delighted with the positive feedback they received at the exhibition.
The society members are now confident that their work has reflected what the public said they wanted in late 2012 and will continue to deliver on the action plan they developed following community feedback.
Although much has been achieved in the area, the team are still fully focused on the way ahead.
Following the recent event and with continued public support they are confident that the area will continue to support social and economic needs identified by the community and are excited about the work still to be delivered.
Alex Geddes, chair of the Buchanhaven Heritage Society said: “We were overwhelmed by the volume of visitors we had and the positive feedback received.
“The effort that the Society team puts into events such as this really can not be underestimated and it proves what a team of focused volunteers can achieve.”
He added: “Of course all the work would be pointless without the full support of the community and this was clear to see at Saturday’s exhibition event.
“We are about to enter the most important phase of our work both for the former school and the area in general and look forward to delivering more of our community action plan in the near future.”
