‘Vitamins galore straight to your door’ at Fetterangus

Pupils from Fetterangus School have teamed up with Longleys in Maud and members of Deer Parish Church for an exciting new project within the village.

The project will see fresh fruit and vegetables brought to the Fetterangus community.

Villagers have been without a village shop for a number of years.

The pupils sent out a mail-shot to all houses in the village prior to the Easter break along with an order form inviting potential customers to identify which produce they would like to purchase.

The forms were then collected back and collated by the pupils.

They subsquently sent out an order to Longleys which delivered the bulk order to the school.

Customers could either collect their order or request to have it delivered by the third element of the partnership, members of Deer Parish Church.

The scheme is set to run every week until the summer break.

It is still in the early stages of development but with the first batch of orders now in the hands of customers, the pupils are hoping that others will see the attraction of having this local service.

The project has been given a name, and will operate under the slogan ‘Vitamins galore, straight to your door!’
