Skanska staff and local trade contractors working on the Peterhead Prison project have worked over two weeks to complete the refurbishment of the toilets and cloakroom at Burnhaven School.
The team put in new walls, windows, lighting, flooring, cubicles and mirrors, as well as the installation of two state-of-the-art Dyson hand driers - which the kids love!
All the work was carried out free-of-charge by Skanska who is currently constructing HMP Grampian, due for completion in the summer of 2013.
Gareth Jacques, Skanska’s project director, HMP Grampian, said: “Since the team started working on the new prison back in February they have engaged with the local community and enjoy working with our trade contractors to make a difference to peoples’ everyday lives.
“We are looking forward to taking on our next task.”
