CENTRAL Buchan Rotary Club generously donated a laptop to advisors from Road Safety Grampian at Longside School recently.
The donation is to support the delivery of road safety education in Buchan, and to aid presentations and talks held by the Road Safety Grampian initiative.
Mr Derek Jennings, junior vice-president of the Rotary Club, said: “The Rotary Club of Central Buchan is proud to be involved with Road Safety Grampian and its aims to reduce road casualties.
“We hope that by donating this laptop we, in some small measure, are helping Road Safety Grampian with setting up strategies and progressing towards their overall targets. We hope that all road users in Aberdeenshire will help them to achieve these targets.”
Mandy Dickson, road safety advisor, said: “Sadly people are still dying in crashes on the roads in the Buchan area. The donation of this laptop from the Rotary Club will help us greatly to spread our road safety messages further in Buchan. We will be able to develop and deliver more road safety presentations to people of all ages in our area.
“We will also be able to update some of our current presentations and develop new ones with this resource.”
“I would like to thank The Rotary Club for their kind donation, which hopefully will help us to reduce the number of people being killed and injured on our roads,” she added.
