Primary 7 pupils at Port Erroll School won a recent competition to design a poster as part of a Shell CCS Poster Competition.
The children were thrilled to find out that their masterpieces would be displayed in the Power Station, at the Shell CCS facilities in Canada and at local community events.
Bill Spence, Business Opportunities Manager for Shell, said: “We are delighted with the creative, colourful and informative poster entries we received in response to our poster competition which was launched in conjunction with our CCS P7 workshops in May.
“The posters highlighted the impressive teaching and learning which is happening in Peterhead Schools around the energy challenge and CCS.
“It was a challenging task to select the winners but we felt that all winning entries encapsulated current energy challenges and offered viable solutions to overcome them.”
Dawn Brodie, Community Liaison Officer, presented the pupils with their prize and said: “It was evident that they had worked hard to come up with a creative way to share what they had learnt at the CCS Workshops.”
