A new commercially-focused centre which brings together design, interactive systems technologies, and information communication and visualisation, has been established at Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen.

The Digital Interactions and Visualisation (DIV) Centre will act as a hub for cross-disciplinary commercial projects, providing a new resource for businesses looking to harness digital technologies for design, simulation and visualisation purposes.

The centre draws on capabilities from across the university including visual communication and design in Gray’s School of Art, building visualisation in Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment, and media, communications and digital literacy in Aberdeen Business School.

Head of the School of Computing Science and Digital Media, Professor Ian Allison, said: “The establishment of this Centre is an exciting moment for RGU and will see the university build on its leading position within the digital sector.

By drawing on the skills from across the University we will be able to address the diverse needs across the region.”
