A group of leaders from the Meethill Sunday School and Children’s Club in Peterhead, recently organised a fundraiser for Meethill Primary School and the charity, pulmonary hypertension.
The event was well attended and much fun was had by all, especially the children who designed their own cupcakes and decorated pot plants sold with Spring bulbs.
Face painting also proved very popular.
Banff and Buchan MP Eilidh Whiteford and local councillors also paid a visit during the day.
The event raised the fantastic sum of £1,100 which was split between the school and the charity.
The organisers have expressed their thanks to Bon Bon, Happy Plant Garden Centre, Floristry by Sylvia and Robert Emslie Jeweller for their help and sponsorship of the event.
Meanwhile, their was delight for pupil Ewen Thomas who won a design competition for the cover of a cookbook which is being sold to finance a science project at the school with Knext Generation.
And Meethill Sunday School leader Shona Rhydderch presented a cheque to the school’s head teacher, Elaine Phillip for £550 for use at the school. The money will used to buy either books or computer equipment.
