The North East Scotland College annual careers showcase event, to be held on Tuesday, February 4, is set to become the biggest yet.

With just under three weeks to go the number of exhibitors has exceeded previous years.

The free event to be held at the Fraserburgh Campus on Henderson Road will run from 6pm to 8pm and is aimed at school pupils, college students and those who are re-evaluating their career paths and considering employment within the Oil and Gas Sector, Engineering, Manufacturing or Nautical Industries.

Paul Sherrington, Depute Principal, North East Scotland College, said: “We are excited to host, what has become, an eagerly awaited event.

“It is an ideal opportunity for North East companies to meet and share their dynamic recruitment needs with the emerging talent coming from schools, colleges and the workforce in the area.

“This evening is a touchstone for anyone thinking about a career in these industries whether in school, college, the armed forces or alternative professions.

”We are delighted to welcome some new exhibitors this year including the Construction Industry Training Board, Fugro Subsea Services, GE Oil and Gas, Johnson Carmichael, Motive Offshore, Power Jacks and Zilift.”

Exhibitors attending the event to date include ACE Winches, Aker Solutions, AMEC, Baker Hughes, Bristow Helicopters, Enermech, Fisher Offshore, Gray and Adams, Genesis Personnel, Halliburton, Open University, Police Scotland, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Schlumberger and Subsea 7.
