Pupils from Peterhead’s Clerkhill School have thanked staff from a local garage for taking the time to teach them about cars.
The children, as part of an ongoing class project, were treated to a demonstration of how vehicles stuck on their sides are recovered when they visited Campbell’s Garage on Monday, March 10.
Mechanic Keith Campbell also took the children into the pit to show them how they work on the underside of vehicles as well as fielding questions about what cars are made of and what exhaust fumes are.
After the trip, the class made a thank you book to give back to all the staff at the garage.
Susan Bruce, who works at Campbells Garage, said: “We really enjoyed having the kids here and they were all very well behaved.
“We’ve done it before and we’d be more than happy to do it again.”
