Longside School Parent Council recently donated eight brand new camers to the school.
The parent council works tirelessly to ensure that the school is well equipped for learning in the 21st century and handed over the cameras in place of the old, clumsy cameras that the children, and staff, were reluctant to use.
The eight new models, along with cases and memory cards, are now being used in every classroom - as well as the school’s nursery - on a regular basis, both to capture achievements and successes and to educate children in the use of modern technologies.
Depute head teacher at the school, Mike Taylor, told the Buchanie: “We have a very successful school Facebook group, and the cameras have meant that parents who are members of the group are now receiving regular insights into the work going on in the school through pictures and videos and are making super home-school learning links.
“We are very grateful to our parent council for their continued support.”
