Peterhead Academy took fourth spot at the finals of this year’s Rock Challenge as well as winning a number of Awards for Excellence.
Last year’s winners took home eight joint Award’s for Excellence as well as the outright award for School Community support as they were beaten to the top spot by Arbroath Academy.
Lynne Greig, the Peterhead Academy team’s Liaison Teacher, said: “Every member of the team should be incredibly proud of themselves and this great achievement and I know for a fact all of the adults that were there on Saturday helping produce the performance or supporting us in the auditorium were also incredibly proud.
“We hope that when we return to the premier finals next year we can do just as well as we did this year or even better.”
Peterhead Academy preformed a piece called Claire at the final in Grimsby as they competed against ten other schools from the north of England and Scotland.
Ms Greig said: “Claire was an extremely emotional piece for all of the team and as the teacher accompanying them I am extremely proud of them and their performance.”
She also thanked all the parents who helped with the team including those whose children have left the show.
