A Peterhead couple celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary this week.
Margaret and William Spence, who is affectionately known as Bill, marked 60 years of marriage on Wednesday, September 7.
The couple have two sons and two daughters, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Bill worked on the farm at Dens, before he and Margaret moved back to Peterhead in 1959.
During his career, Bill also worked as a labourer.
Margaret worked in a shop before going on to work at the Empress Cafe and the Lite Bite.
The couple celebrated their special anniversary at home, surrounded by family and friends.
They received an array of anniversary gifts and cards - including one from the Queen.
Peterhead South and Cruden councillor Tom Malone visited Margaret and Bill to present them with a card and gifts on behalf of Aberdeenshire Council.
Cllr Malone said: “To share 60 years of happy marriage is a glorious testament to the virtue of marriage.
“It’s my pleasure to share this occasion with them.”
