A Mintlaw couple have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Alexander - who is affectionately known as Sandy - and Edith Milne marked the special occasion with their family on July 7.
The couple lived at Oldmeldrum for nine years before moving to Strichen, where they stayed for 32 years. They retired to Mintlaw 21 years ago.
Together, Sandy and Edith have one daughter as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
During their careers the couple worked on different farms in the North-east.
As part of their anniversary celebration, Central Buchan councillor Lenny Pirie visited the couple at their home to present them with a card and gifts on behalf of the community.
Councillor Pirie said: “I’d like to congratulate Sandy and Edith on their wedding anniversary. I’ve stayed in Strichen all my life so I knew Sandy and Edith when they stayed at Auchrynie. The time flies far too quickly.
“I wish them a long and happy future and good health.”
The couple planned a special meal with family to mark their milestone anniversary.
