Some 1,000 Cub Scouts from across the North East held a huge party at Aden Country Park recently to celebrate the organisation’s centenary.
The Cubs100 camp saw the younghsters take part in more than 125 different activities, based on the different continents.
The camp was part of a year-long birthday celebration for Cub Scouts throughout the UK, with events happening all over the country such as a sleepover at London Zoo and Cubs taking over Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Cubs Regional Commissioner, Dougie Simmers, said: “The Cubs had an amazing time over the weekend and all the activities show just how much fun and adventure the Cub programme offers.
“None of this would be possible without the hard work of our adult volunteers and supporters who give up their time every week.”
