A BUCHAN woman was found with heroin worth almost £2,000 after a police raid on an address in Peterhead.

Sarah Webster (27) was arrested when police arrived to search the Duncan Crescent flat on December 13 last year. Webster, who was described as a prisoner at Corton Vale, was taken to ARI for a medical examination after police received intelligence that she was hiding heroin internally. Medical staff found 12 grams of the Class A drug, which was valued by police at £1,830. Webster was released on bail, only to be caught with a further £590 worth of the drug when police raided an address on Lodge Walk on December 22.

Sheriff Gregor Murray differed sentence for three weeks to allow time for background reports. Webster was remanded in custody.
