BUCHANHAVEN Primary School has been targeted by vandals for a third time this year.
The Peterhead school, which is the largest in the town, was struck by vandals during the Easter holidays and again in the first weekend of May, where the damage caused was thought to of been in the region of a four-figure sum.
More recently, a skylight window has been damaged at the school between June 24 and 26, as a result the damage caused is estimated to be in a three figure sum.
Buchanhaven Schools Parent Council chairman Andrew Strachan said: “I’m disappointed that anyone would choose to cause damage to the school.
“The people who are doing this are not only placing themselves in danger but, more seriously, could be putting the pupils of the school at risk.
“I’m hoping that those responsible for these acts of vandalism realise how serious this matter is and that they stay well away from the school in future.”
Grampian Police are investigating the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact them on 0845 600 5 700 or, if they wish to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
