Sneak-in thefts reported

Grampian Police are investigating a sneak-in thefts to a house and a theft of a van in the Scotstown area of Peterhead.

The incident occurred between midnight and 6am on Sunday at a house on Peterhead’s Staffa Street.

As a result of the incident, tools and a TV valued at a low three figure sum were stolen. A blue coloured Ford Connect van was also stolen from outside the address.

Grampian Police are keen to trace anyone with information or of the whereabouts of the stolen van.

Investigating officer PC Craig Beedie said: “The van stolen is well known locally and is quite distinctive with a white coloured LF logo on both sides. I would like to appeal to anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of this van to please come forward.

“This appears to be an opportunistic incident of theft and I would also like to remind residents to remain vigilant, and secure property where possible and keep valuables out of sight.”
