An investigation is underway following the unexplained death of a man in Boddam on Monday afternoon (October 3).
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Buchanie: “Police were made aware of the death of a 60-year-old male in the harbour area of Boddam at around 2.20pm.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are at an early stage to establish the circumstances.”
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have been advised of the death and a report will be made to the procurator fiscal.
It is believed that the man passed away at the Thistle Seafoods base located at Boddam Harbour.
The Health and Safety Executive has since confirmed that it is making a start on initial inquiries into the man’s death.
