A MAN who repeatedly phoned police to complain after being refused entry to a nightclub has been fined.
Doormen at Peterhead’s Mambos nightclub refused to let full time welder John Usher into the club on August 21, telling him he had had too much to drink.
But the 26-year-old became angry and repeatedly phoned police from a phone box on Queen Street to complain. Police did eventually attend the club, albeit to ask Usher to stop bothering them.
Sam Milligan, defending, said that Usher had drank “far more than was good for him” and was struggling to come to terms with the death of his father.
He said: “Mr Usher appreciates that the Emergency Services have better things to do with their time.”
Usher was fined £400 by Sheriff Gregor Murray.
