Police Scotland has seized an estimated £35,000 worth of ‘Crack’ Cocaine and diamorphine’ from the Peterhead area.

The drug discovery was made on Monday may 2 and police say enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Constable Kate Coyle of the North East Division Proactive Unit said: “This is another significant drug seizure which is a direct result of the ongoing Operation Banook.

“This operation will continue to target all those who wish to involve themselves in drug activity and organised crime in the North East of Scotland, and we will continue in our efforts to make our Policing area a hostile place to deal controlled drugs.”

The Detectiver Constable asked members of the public to report any suspicious activity which they suspect to be drug related by calling Police Scotland on 101 or crime stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
