Craigewan Photographic Club’s recent second competition on the theme of Trees was a very close affair.
Charlie Davidson came out on top with 52 points out of 60, followed by William McNeil and Malcolm Smith in equal second with 50 points.
The images were in digital format and were judged by Maureen Dennis from Dorset.
A very fair but hard scoring judge,Mareen said she thoroughly enjoyed looking at the members’ images.
Meanwhile a friendly between Craigewan and Deveron Camera Club resulted in a home win by the Peterhead club.
The competition was judged by Peter Clark from Fraserburgh who commented on the high standard of both sets of images.
No one knew who had won until the last image was scored.
Craigewan came out on top with 417 and half to Deveron’s 395 and a half.
Peter was also amazed at the number of members the club has had in just over a year with 42 payed members and four newcomers who are trying the club before deciding if it is for them.
The club is very social and has many workshop nights like last week’s water fun shots with balloons.
New members are welcome and the club meets at the Buchanhaven Heritage Centre on Ugie Road, Peterhead on Tuesday evenings between 7-9pm.
