Peterhead Scottish Week committee are hosting a Scottish-themed choir and musical evening at the town’s Old Parish Church.

In preparation for this year’s gala, Peterhead Central, Burnhaven, Clerkhill and Meethill primary school choirs will sing a variety of traditional and modern Scottish songs in an evening aimed to raise money for Scottish Week as well as other local charities.

As well as the school choirs, other local musicians performing this Thursday from 7pm include the Old Parish Church choir who will take to the stage to entertain what will certain to be a sell-out audience.

“Having attended a fundraising night recently with my school choir it was clear to see how much fun everyone had celebrating local talent,” said committee member Brian Carle.

“This was something we have always wanted to do as a committee and now the time feels appropriate.

“As well as local choirs, we are lucky to have some other very talented singers who have agreed to take part in this fundraising event and we can’t thank them enough, this is certain to be a sell out event so grab your tickets while you can.”

Tickets priced £5 are available from the West End Butcher and BonBon.
