A group for Buchan children with additional support needs has received a donation from the Aberdeen Music Festival.
MACBI director John Pascoe and Lesley Simpson accepted a cheque for £475 on behalf of Aberdeen Music Festival at the MACBI Community Hub in Mintlaw on Friday, August 29 (pictured above).
The donation will be spent on Additional Support Needs sessions - which support local children with autism and Asperger’s syndrome - that currently take place at the MACBI Community Hub.
Money raised at the Aberdeen Music Festival was split between a number of local groups.
Commenting, John said: “It’s a really worthwhile project and the feedback from the parents makes it all worthwhile.”
Lesley said: “We’re absolutely chuffed to bits that somebody is willing to provide this money to help get these sessions up and running.”
The Aberdeen Music Festival took place in May, with around 20 bands taking part in the event.
