A cancer charity is calling on people in Peterhead to help make sure no one needs to face cancer alone.
Macmillan Cancer Support says it wants to be there for anyone with cancer, their friends and family.
The charity relies almost entirely on public donations to fund its vital services and is urging local people to help support it’s work by fundraising or volunteering.
Jennifer Mitchell local fundraising manager said: “There are two million people who have had a cancer diagnosis in the UK and this is expected to double by 2030. The good news is that more people are surviving cancer, however that means that as well as needing support during their illness, many more people also need support to cope with the long term effects of the illness and treatment which can often last for many years”.
